AVAILABLE DOGS

As of August 31, 2010 , Dane Outreach has the following dogs available for adoption.

Please note that people with approved applications are notified about available Danes, so dogs are frequently adopted without being featured on this page. Because of this, a common assumption is that we do not have any dogs in the program, when in fact a number may be "behind the scenes."

If you are interested in one of these dogs, and do not already have a completed application on file, please submit an Application before inquiring on a particular dog. An application, along with the procedure on how to submit it, can be found through the "Adoption" menu to the left. To avoid problems and disappointments, we cannot provide additional information on our dogs, or set up an appointment to meet a dog, unless an application has beenreceived and approved.

KIWI

Kiwi is a 9 month old black, natural-eared female. She has been good with well-behaved kids, and other dogs. While she is house-broken and crate-trained, she's a young girl, and  would do best in a home that has the time to devote to a young dane. Obedience classes would help further her training on the leash, sitting, downs, etc.  She is sweet and loves to give kisses once she gets to get to know you. She would do best in a home with a big fur brother and/or well-behaved kids to love on.

If you have a fenced yard and an approved application on file and are interested in Kiwi, please email morsgreatdanes@comcast.net for more information.

NALA

Nala is a 2-3 year old natural-eared fawn Dane. She is sweet but can be strong-willed, and would do best in an experienced home. She knows basic commands but needs continued work on not pulling on leash. Nala is active and vocal, and would do best in a home with another active and confident male dog, or as an only dog. Nala has been reported to be good with children, and would do best in an active home.

If you have large dog experience, a fenced yard, and an approved application, please contact casselldanes@yahoo.com for more information.

HEIDI
Heidi is a 4 year old, spayed female Merle Great Dane. Heidi is a quiet, calm dog looking for a home with lots of love to give her. This beautiful girl is a little on the shy side, but warms up quickly and loves being with her people. She likes to go for walks or car rides, and enjoys lying in the sun. She's very affectionate and will try to sit in your lap, but is happy to lay next to you and snuggle instead.

Heidi is crate-trained, house-trained, and has had excellent house manners. Heidi has been friendly with dogs big to small, and has lived nicely with older children (8 and up).

Do you have a fenced yard, approved application, and plenty of love and snuggles for this sweetheart?
Email Angela.Small@seattle.gov for more information on Heidi.

GARTH
Garth is a 2-3 year old neutered male with natural ears. Although he is extremely shy right now, he continues to slowly improve every day. So far, he only trusts his foster mom, but every day his confidence grows and once you earn his trust, he's a very sweet boy.

He is polite, walks nicely on a leash, and understands "sit". He has good social skills with other dogs, but he is afraid of children and men. He has a strong prey drive and would not be good with cats.

An approved application and fully fenced yard are required. For more information on Garth, contact nolav@q.com

MOLLY
Molly is a spayed, 2-3 year old dark Mantle- Merle female. She has been very sweet and and friendly with all humans big and small, other dogs, and cats. Molly walks well on leash and loves to cuddle on your lap.

While she gets along great with other dogs, she would do best as an only dog, being the center of attention. Molly is looking fort someone to spoil, love, and dote on her! She is doing well in her foster home, but is anxious for a family of her very own. As Molly would like a quieter home, she would not be ideal for a family with small children.

An approved application and fenced yard are required. Please contact aliodanes@gmail.com for more information.

TITUS

Titus is a 1 and a half to 2 year old neutered male, black Great Dane with big natural ears, and is very much a teenaged Dane. He is housebroken, and crate trained, and loves rides in the car. He also does fairly well on a leash, but will benefit from a good obedience class to help further his training. Titus is a very sweet boy who can be very affectionate towards his peeps.

He is learning how to play gently from his foster brother and sister who are older Danes. Experience with cats and small children is unknown. Titus will do best in a home with Great Dane or large breed experience, with no small children under the age of 10. A Dane or other large breed 'sister' with the ability to put up with a rambunctious teenager would be good for him.

If you have an approved application on file, and would like to meet Titus, or learn more about him, contact his foster family at casselldanes@yahoo.com.
