AVAILABLE DOGS

, Dane Outreach has the following dogs available for adoption.
Please note that people with approved applications are notified about available Danes, so dogs are frequently adopted without being featured on this page. Because of this, a common assumption is that we do not have any dogs in the program, when in fact a number may be "behind the scenes."
If you are interested in one of these dogs, and do not already have a completed application on file, please submit an Application before inquiring on a particular dog. An application, along with the procedure on how to submit it, can be found through the "Adoption" menu to the left. To avoid problems and disappointments, we cannot provide additional information on our dogs, or set up an appointment to meet a dog, unless an application has beenreceived and approved.
*ABRAHAM*
Abraham is an adult, neutered Blue male, approx. 5 years old, with natural ears. He is beyond his teenage years, so has a calm personality. Beyond attention for "petting," (he loves his face, ears, and head petted,) he's really happy to hold down his end of the couch, or a nice comfortable dog bed in a favorite location.
He loves to spend time outdoors, surveying his Foster Home's yard from a favored spot under the tree. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and rides well in the car. He eats well, and is well-behaved at feeding time. Abraham plays well with other dogs, and would prefer a mature playmate, and not one that will climb on him, so would do well with a new sister that is beyond her immature years.
He also seems to enjoy having children around. He is good at alerting to a visitor at the door, or someone nearby outside, but he quiets well when asked. He also displays good manners when coming in from outside, and stops when commanded so he can have his feet wiped ("Good Dog!")
